“True freedom is not simply the absence of external coercion, but the ability to make informed choices that reflect our desires and goals. To exercise free will, we must first acquire knowledge of ourselves and the world around us, and be willing to confront the contradictions and limitations that constrain us. Only then can we begin to imagine and create new possibilities for ourselves and for society.” – Slavoj Žižek
FREE WILL
Free will is a concept that has been debated and discussed throughout history, but it is not merely an abstract idea or philosophical inquiry. Rather, it is a personal, societal, and political issue that touches every aspect of our lives.
Free will is about choosing what to do and what not to do. It is about knowing about the consequences and responsibilities connected to our actions and choices. And it means being aware of external forces that will attempt to interfere with and limit our choices.
Free will is a struggle, a constant fight to assert one’s humanity and agency in the face of overwhelming odds.
